Basketball Recap: Fruitport Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Fruitport won the last time they faced NorthPointe Christian, and Izabel Hanson-Wilbur did her part to make sure it happened again. The Fruitport Trojans secured a 40-34 W over the NorthPointe Christian Mustangs on Friday thanks in part to Hanson-Wilbur, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. What's more, she also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024.

Fruitport is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-12 record this season. As for NorthPointe Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fruitport will head out to face off against Godwin Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for NorthPointe Christian, they will challenge Calvin Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
