On Friday A'Nazhe Purnell scored a run and stole three bases. The effort marked the most stolen bases Purnell has had since back in February. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he's been consistent in that area too: the contest was his fourth straight with one or more. For the season, he has slashed 0.314/0.429/0.457 with 16 runs, plus 28 stolen bases.

Purnell's strong effort led Hardaway over Carver and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks are 8-2 against the Tigers going back to February of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
