Volleyball Recap: Providence Pioneers vs. Fishers Tigers
Providence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Fishers Tigers. If the Pioneers were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Hadley Hasselbring paced Providence's offense, picking up nine kills. Hasselbring got some help from Rylie Neal and her 20 assists. Aubrey Fromme controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Fishers was led to victory by Caitlyn Gutt and Katie Brinkruff. Gutt had 14 assists and three digs, while Brinkruff had 11 digs.
Providence now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Fishers, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Providence has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against New Albany on the 2nd. As for Fishers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Noblesville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
