Volleyball Recap: Madison Fisher and Abbie Davis Secure Win for Uintah

Uintah not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 16th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Summit Academy Bears with a sharp 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-6, 25-20.

Leading Uintah to victory were Abbie Davis and Madison Fisher. Davis had 26 assists and four aces, while Fisher had eight kills and one block. Those four aces gave Davis a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Uintah was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matches.

Uintah's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Summit Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Uintah will square off against rival Orem at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Summit Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Mountain View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
