Soccer Recap: Poca Comes Up Short

Poca lost against Ripley back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dots lost 7-0 to the Vikings. While losing is never fun, Poca can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Ripley are ranked 13th).

Poca's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ripley, their win bumped their record up to 3-1-1.

Poca didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, an 8-0 defeat against Buffalo on the 4th. As for Ripley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 6-1 victory against Ravenswood on the 4th.
