Basketball Game Preview: Paradise Honors Panthers vs. Moon Valley Rockets

The Paradise Honors Panthers will square off against the Moon Valley Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Paradise Honors' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Moon Valley has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Last Tuesday, Paradise Honors beat Shadow Mountain 52-44. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Matadors are ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Moon Valley hadn't done well against Thunderbird recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Moon Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Thunderbird, sneaking past 58-56.

Paradise Honors is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Moon Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-16.
