Lowell proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 11) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Logansport Berries 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Red Devils, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Olivia Fuentes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Preslee Hill was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Lowell pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Logansport, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Lowell has already played their next game, a 12-1 win against La Porte on the 3rd. As for Logansport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 defeat against Elkhart on the 3rd.
