Football Game Preview: Dracut Middies vs. Tewksbury Memorial Redmen

Dracut is 0-7 against Tewksbury Memorial since October of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Middies will look to defend their home field against the Redmen at 7:00 p.m. Dracut has given up an average of 34.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 33-6, which was the final score in Dracut's tilt against North Andover on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Middies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Scarlet Knights are ranked 95th).

Meanwhile, Tewksbury Memorial put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over Billerica Memorial. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Redmen this season.

Dracut's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Tewksbury Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Dracut was dealt a bruising 42-0 defeat at the hands of Tewksbury Memorial when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can the Middies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
