Softball Recap: Wayzata Has No Trouble Against Buffalo

Wayzata came out on top against Buffalo on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Trojans blew past the Bison 11-3. Surprisingly, this marked the Trojans' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Sydney Anderson was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. Sophia Elswick was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Wayzata kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Wayzata back to even at 4-4. As for Buffalo, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, Wayzata will square off against Hopkins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buffalo, they will face off against Minnetonka at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
