Volleyball Recap: Rohan Patel and Mateo Qirjazi Secure Win for Woburn Memorial

Woburn Memorial barely beat Belmont the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tanners put the hurt on the Marauders with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Tanners in their matchups with the Marauders: they've now won four in a row.

Woburn Memorial never let Belmont on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 28-26, 25-18.

Woburn Memorial was led to victory by Mateo Qirjazi and Rohan Patel. Qirjazi had four digs and two aces, while Patel had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most aces Qirjazi has posted since back in April.

Woburn Memorial now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Belmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Woburn Memorial will venture away from home to face off against Lynn Classical at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Belmont, they will host Catholic Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
