Baseball Recap: Mission Has No Trouble Against Donna

Mission barely beat Donna the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went the Mission Eagles' way against the Donna Redskins on Saturday as the Mission Eagles made off with an 8-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Mission and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Donna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission will welcome La Joya at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Donna, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Porter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
