It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fillmore can now relate to. They fell just short of the Bloomington Bruins by a score of 9-8 on Friday. The Flashes' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Angelica Ruiz and Azaria Aguilar stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ruiz went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Aguilar went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Ruiz is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jennie Ponce, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Fillmore now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Bloomington, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Fillmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bloomington, they will face off against Ramona Convent at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bruins will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
