Baseball Game Preview: Mt. Hope Huskies vs. La Salle Academy Rams

The Mt. Hope Huskies are taking a road trip to square off against the La Salle Academy Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Hope has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mt. Hope came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to Moses Brown.

Meanwhile, La Salle Academy faced East Providence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Rams fell just short of the Townies by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.

La Salle Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayce Bessette, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Bessette's first of the season.

Mt. Hope has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for La Salle Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.
