Volleyball Recap: Portage Takes a Loss

Portage lost against Mount Horeb back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1.

Addison Zuther paced Portage's offense, picking up seven kills. Zuther got some help from Kate Stevenson and her nine assists. Stevenson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Eliana Considine, each putting up two.

Portage's loss dropped their record down to 19-15. As for Mount Horeb, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Portage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Sauk Prairie on the 11th. As for Mount Horeb, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Edgewood on the 11th.
