Soccer Game Preview: Newberry vs. Woodruff

The Newberry Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Woodruff Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Newberry will head out to face Woodruff after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Newberry fell 2-0 to Swansea.

Meanwhile, Woodruff's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Mid-Carolina by a score of 2-1. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Newberry's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Woodruff, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Newberry couldn't quite get it done against Woodruff in their previous matchup back in March of 2020 as they fell 4-2. Can Newberry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
