After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against San Marcos, Rio Mesa was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Pacifica Tritons by a score of  3-1. The  win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their six-match losing streak.
 The  victory didn't come easy: Pacifica scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 23-25, 25-22,  25-19.
Rio Mesa's win bumped their record up to 7-20. As for Pacifica, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rio Mesa will  take on  rival Buena  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pacifica is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Santa Barbara  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
