Baseball Recap: Nutley Comes Up Short

Nutley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Caldwell Chiefs. The Maroon Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Chiefs from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Nutley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Benjamin McNeil, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Nutley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Caldwell, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Nutley will head out to square off against Wayne Hills at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Caldwell, they will be playing at home against Columbia at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
