Football Recap: Honesdale's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Honesdale needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Gabe Duda. The Hornets breezed past the Western Wayne Wildcats to the tune of 36-0 on Friday with plenty of help from Duda, who rushed for 226 yards and four scores while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 107.8 rushing yards per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe White, who gained 106 total yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 64 yards.

Honesdale's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Western Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Honesdale is set to take on their familiar foe Lakeland at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Western Wayne will challenge rival West Scranton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
