Pickford's Danny Babinsky rumbled for the longest rushing play in Ski-Valley - North this season in his game against Onaway last week. Babinsky scampered for 69 yards on the play and finished with 165 on the day as his team defeated the Cardinals.
La Salle extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Cheboygan, 14-10. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
La Salle's dynamic duo of Tyler Snyder and Curtis St. Louis proved tough for the Chiefs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Snyder threw for 78 yards and St. Louis had 55 yards receiving. Joey Ostman helped La Salle's passing attack out by catching one ball for 12 yards.
The Saints' Snyder and Ostman have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Snyder has thrown for 1137 yards this season, while Ostman, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 28 catches for 506 yards. Pickford's Jarred Lavigne leads the league in rushing yards with 769.
La Salle moved up to 181 from 250 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Ski-Valley - North. The Saints were able to make move up by besting Cheboygan 14-10.
