Soccer Recap: Aiken Comes Up Short at Home Against Greenwood

Aiken unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They lost 5-0 to the Greenwood Eagles on Thursday. One thing that didn't help the Fighting Green Hornets' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Lucas Sparks.

Greenwood's victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Aiken will be taking part in a tournament against Lexington at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenwood, they will take on Dorman in a tournament on Friday. Greenwood's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Dorman's offense will have their work cut out for them.
