Yazoo County won the last time they faced Amanda Elzy and Chandler Hardman did his part to make sure it happened again. Yazoo County sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 21-18 win over Amanda Elzy on Friday with plenty of help from Hardman, who rushed for 181 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 172 rushing yards.

Amanda Elzy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jar'Kavion Clemon, who threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 43 yards. Amanda Elzy's leading receiver Demarcus Brown was Clemon's top target yet again, picking up 108 receiving yards and one TD.

The victory made it two in a row for Yazoo County and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 26 points in those games. As for Amanda Elzy, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Yazoo County has already played their next matchup, a 14-12 loss against Humphreys County on the 24th. As for Amanda Elzy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 50-26 defeat against O'Bannon on the 24th.
