Softball Recap: Sycamore Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Sycamore had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They never let the DeKalb Barbs get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Sycamore's victory bumped their record up to 23-4. As for DeKalb, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Sycamore will face off against Marengo at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for DeKalb, they will head out to face off against Naperville Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Barbs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Redhawks have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
