Basketball Recap: New Prairie Find Success

New Prairie hadn't done well against Glenn recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Cougars managed a 52-48 victory over the Falcons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in March.

Brody Wiginton had a dynamite game, going 9-for-22 to rack up 23 points in addition to seven assists and five steals. Those five steals gave him a new career-high. Dylan Bishop was another key player, putting up ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Glenn lost, don't look at Jude Nicks. Despite the final result, he shot 50% from the field on his way to 21 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Archer Rust, who posted six points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

The win got New Prairie back to even at 1-1. As for Glenn, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

New Prairie has already played their next matchup (against Marquette Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Glenn, they will face off against LaVille at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Falcons their first taste of in-conference action this season.
