Basketball Recap: Tucker County Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Makenna Evans and Raven Matthews

Tucker County lost against Fairmont Senior back in December of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tucker County Mountain Lions lost to the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears on the road by a 58-44 margin.

Tucker County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Raven Matthews, who posted 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks, and Makenna Evans, who scored 13 points and six boards. Matthews is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Tucker County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Fairmont Senior, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15.

Tucker County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-33 victory against Moorefield on the 20th. As for Fairmont Senior, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-52 loss against Elkins on the 28th.
