Baseball Recap: Palestine-Wheatley Victorious

Palestine-Wheatley won the last time they faced Pangburn and things went their way on Monday too. The Patriots walked away with a 5-1 win over the Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Brody Parker was a standout: he scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brant Medford, who went 2-for-3 with two triples and one run.

Palestine-Wheatley's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Pangburn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palestine-Wheatley will head out to face off against England at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pangburn, they will venture away from home to challenge Episcopal at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.82 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
