Vela had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.9 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 62-27 victory over the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines. The Sabercats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Vela got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Bustamante out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Jp Olivarez was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 11 points and four steals.

Vela smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Vela is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
