It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Claiborne Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Summerfield Rebels 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won six in a row.

Claiborne Christian's record now sits at 7-11. As for Summerfield, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Claiborne Christian will take on Gibsland-Coleman at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Summerfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saline at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
