Softball Recap: St. Dominic Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, St. Dominic couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the North Yarmouth Academy Panthers by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The Saints were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 12-3.

St. Dominic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leah Shannon, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

St. Dominic dropped their record down to 12-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Yarmouth Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3.

As of now, neither St. Dominic nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
