Softball Recap: Crestview Cougars vs. Mapleton Mounties
Crestview was the 3-2 winner over Mapleton when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Crestview Cougars fell just short of the Mapleton Mounties by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. Crestview has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Crestview saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chesnie Patton, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Durbin, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Crestview's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Mapleton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
As of now, neither Crestview nor Mapleton have any future games scheduled.
