Softball Recap: Senatobia Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Senatobia not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 13, 2024. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Byhalia Indians a 16-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bayleigh Sims was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Anna Hollis Faulkner was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Nadeah Newson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Senatobia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .870. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Senatobia's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Byhalia, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Senatobia will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Indians: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
