Volleyball Recap: Emily Manning's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Great Falls over Governor's School for Science & Math

Great Falls lost against Governor's School for Science & Math back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Devils came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Great Falls was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Governor's School for Science & Math work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-16, 25-23.

Great Falls' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Manning, who had ten assists and seven kills. Another player making a difference was Kenslee Powers, who had six digs and four assists.

Great Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Great Falls will square off against McBee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Governor's School for Science & Math and Virtus Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
