Volleyball Recap: Clinton Christian Academy Gets the Win

Clinton Christian Academy posted their closest win since September 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Heartland Mustangs 3-2. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Clinton Christian Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Heartland into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 19-25, 22-25, 25-13, 15-8.

Carissa Compton had an outrageously good game as she had 26 digs and three aces.

Compton wasn't the only good server: Clinton Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Clinton Christian Academy's record is now 3-1. As for Heartland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

After both having extra time off, Clinton Christian Academy and Overland Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on September 4. As for Heartland, they will venture away from home to take on Center Place at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
