Spanish Fort had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Pace Patriots. This was payback for the Toros, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Olivia Downey paced Spanish Fort's offense, picking up ten kills. Downey got some help from Cailyn Boykin and her 20 assists. Boykin also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Zoe Beech, racking up three apiece.

Spanish Fort's victory bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Pace, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Spanish Fort has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Fairhope on the 30th. As for Pace, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Westminster Christian Academy on the 30th.
