Basketball Recap: Northwood Temple Academy Gets the Win

Northwood Temple Academy won the last time they faced Village Christian Academy and La'Najia Walker did her part to make sure it happened again. The Eagles simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Knights 60-11 for which the team can thank Walker, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Patience Morton, who posted nine points and five steals. Morton is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

The victory got Northwood Temple Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Village Christian Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Northwood Temple Academy and Village Christian Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Eagles see the court they'll take on Harrells Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 1. As for Village Christian Academy, their break will end when they face The O'Neal School at 5:30 p.m. on December 5.
