Softball Preview: Norcross Blue Devils vs. Centennial Knights
The Norcross Blue Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Centennial Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Norcross can't be to happy about their upcoming road contest against Centennial considering what happened when they opened their season on the road on Saturday. Norcross lost 8-0 to Forsyth Central. The loss leaves the Blue Devils without a win on the season.
Centennial lost 11-5 to Lakeside on Wednesday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ella Jacobs was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Algier, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs.
Even though they lost, Centennial was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with five doubles. That's the most doubles they've earned since back in August of 2023.
