If Greenland was feeling good fresh off their 12-4 takedown of Berryville on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Siloam Springs Panthers on Friday. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Greenland's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Siloam Springs, the victory snapped their losing streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 5-15 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenland will host Mountainburg at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 3.5, the Dragons 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Siloam Springs, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Russellville at 5:00 p.m. on May 5.
