Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 42-8 loss at the hands of the Washington Hatchets. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hatchets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Despite the loss, Princeton still got an impressive performance from Karwin Pope, who picked up 130 receiving yards and a touchdown. Pope got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 71 yards.

Xavion Lesure continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Washington, rushing for 207 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Lesure is now averaging an impressive 120.4 rushing yards per game. Colton Stowers was another key player, throwing for 270 yards and two touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Washington, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Princeton will host North Knox at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Washington, they are taking a road trip to face off against Pike Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Washington is facing Pike Central at the right time seeing as Pike Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
