Recap: Canyon Springs Pioneers vs. Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners
The Canyon Springs Pioneers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southeast Career Tech 71-26 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-13.
Canyon Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Henry King, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Ma'Aqwaviuos Macklin, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Canyon Springs' win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Southeast Career Tech, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canyon Springs will stay at home for another game and welcome Durango at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Durango is ranked 55th, while Canyon Springs is ranked 36th). As for Southeast Career Tech, they will be playing at home against Amplus Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Amplus Academy has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28.
