While Washington didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Galileo Lions by a score of 14-9 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won five in a row.

Washington's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Galileo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Washington is set to square off against their familiar foe Mission at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Galileo will take on rival Balboa at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
