Softball Recap: Manchester Regional Comes Up Short

Manchester Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Butler Bulldogs, falling 18-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 15-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Manchester Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Butler, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manchester Regional will take on Mary Help of Christians Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons are facing the Blue Jays at the right time seeing as the Blue Jays are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Butler, they will head out on the road to challenge Glen Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
