Preview: Falls City Beavers vs. Charlotte Trojans
Falls City is 9-1 against Charlotte since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Falls City Beavers will head out on the road to take on the Charlotte Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Falls City is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Falls City narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Stockdale 31-29.
Falls City found their leader in underclassman Kain Jurgajtis, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Jurgajtis posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Black, who scored six points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Charlotte's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 60-38 loss at the hands of Brackett. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Charlotte in their matchups with Brackett: they've now lost five in a row.
Falls City's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Charlotte, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-26 record this season.
Falls City came up short against Charlotte in their previous meeting back in January, falling 47-42. Can Falls City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
