Baseball Game Preview: Mulhall-Orlando Panthers vs. Ripley Warriors

For the first time this season, Mulhall-Orlando will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to face off against the Ripley Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Mulhall-Orlando has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Ripley will arrive with nine straight wins.

Mulhall-Orlando managed to slip by Garber the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Mulhall-Orlando came up short against Garber on Saturday, falling 10-4. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Lincoln Oldenburg was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That one earned run gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Ripley got themselves on the board against Vanoss on Thursday, but Vanoss never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Wolves. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Ripley pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mulhall-Orlando, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Mulhall-Orlando came up short against Ripley in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 12-8. Can Mulhall-Orlando avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
