Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jonathan Alder). They blew past the Dublin Jerome Celtics 18-2 on Saturday. With that win, the Pioneers brought their scoring average up to 8.5 runs per game.

Taryn Miller looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Anna Engle was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those RBI were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Magginis, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Jonathan Alder always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .658. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Jonathan Alder back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Jonathan Alder will head out on the road to take on Hayes at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Hayes' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Jonathan Alder's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
