Baseball Game Preview: Albany Warriors vs. North Harrison Shamrocks

The Albany Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the North Harrison Shamrocks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Albany came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Polo by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since April 23, 2024.

Albany saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daulton Worrell, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, North Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Penney, falling 11-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Albany and nudges their season record down to 13-12. As for North Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Albany skirted past North Harrison 5-3 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
