Basketball Game Preview: West Chargers vs. Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds

West is 1-9 against Shawnee Heights since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The West Chargers will venture away from home to face off against the Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds at 7:15 p.m.

West came up short against Basehor-Linwood on Tuesday, falling 67-43.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Shawnee Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 53-18 win over Leavenworth.

The victory got Shawnee Heights back to even at 4-4-1. As for West, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Things could have been worse for West, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-40 loss to Shawnee Heights in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can West avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
