Soccer Recap: Carson Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Carson has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Fairfax Lions who were credited with the win on Friday. The Fairfax Lions got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Carson Colts' three.

Nathan Garcia and Marco Cruz scored both of Carson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Fairfax, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-1-2 record this season.

Carson will head out to square off against Torrance at 3:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Torrance is on a four-game streak of home wins, Carson a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch. As for Fairfax, they will take on Paramount in a tournament on Saturday.
