Football Game Preview: Foothill Trojans vs. Golden Valley Bulldogs + How To Watch

Foothill is 0-5 against Golden Valley since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Trojans will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Foothill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 33.6 points per game this season.

On Friday, Foothill didn't have too much trouble with Arvin as they won 24-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Andrew Trevino and Martin Velasquez. Trevino rushed for 122 yards while Velasquez rushed for 64 yards. Foothill is 5-1 when Trevino posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Foothill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 192 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.

Foothill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ulises Vargas and Cash McAfee.

Meanwhile, Golden Valley played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Tehachapi 41-7. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Golden Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Foothill, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Foothill has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 238.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Golden Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 255.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
