It was a good run, but King/Drew unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 6-2 to the Crenshaw Cougars. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

King/Drew's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Crenshaw, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. King/Drew will take on rival George Washington Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Crenshaw is set to square off against their familiar foe Dymally at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
