Basketball Recap: Firebaugh Takes a Loss

Firebaugh lost against Kerman back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Firebaugh Eagles were dealt an 81-39 defeat at the hands of the Kerman Lions. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Daniel Bibioff continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kerman, almost dropping a double-double on 51 points and nine rebounds. Bibioff's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Von Bibioff, who went 7 of 10 en route to 18 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Firebaugh's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Kerman, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

When Firebaugh and Kerman next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Firebaugh will try to stop Chavez's three-game winning streak when the meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kerman will try to stop Madera's three-game winning streak when the meet at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
