Basketball Game Preview: Cypress Ranch Mustangs vs. Bridgeland Bears

The Cypress Ranch Mustangs will head out to face off against the Bridgeland Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cypress Ranch is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

On Wednesday, Cypress Ranch was able to grind out a solid victory over Cypress Woods, taking the game 41-34. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 363rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cypress Lakes typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Bridgeland proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 60-47 win over the Spartans. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on three straight.

Bridgeland pushed their record up to 21-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Cypress Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Everything went Cypress Ranch's way against Bridgeland in their previous matchup on January 7th, as Cypress Ranch made off with a 54-33 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cypress Ranch since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
